Happy International Women’s Day! On 8 March 2023, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and the progress these fields are making towards greater gender diversity.
We’re committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect, that’s why, at R Systems #WomenWhoCode are also #WomenWhoLead but most importantly #WomenWhoInspire and, truth be told, #WomenWhoRock.
At global level, statistics regarding gender representation in STEM show that women hold only 15% of engineering jobs and 26.5% of executive, senior-level and management positions in SP 500 companies, while 74% of girls desire a career in this field.
With a considerable edge above the average stats, at R Systems Europe women hold 50% of technical roles in the company and the average tenure among women is 4 years.
