Ruby Senior Software Engineer

R Systems is looking for a talented and passionate Ruby Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team focused on software development for the telecom industry.

In this key role, you’ll collaborate with senior engineers to drive innovation and enhance our existing systems. This is a unique opportunity to grow your career through professional development, including certifications, workshops, and training sessions.

Your contribution:

Further develop the core framework and several custom business modules. Extend the platform with new functionality and contribute to the product roadmap.
Structure the backend data and framework that provides the workflow to process requests and helper functions for the modules to use (e.g. logging, database access, and LDAP lookups).
Work on improving the user experience and delivering a quality product
Discover new ways to automate the telecom operator data management and extend the product accordingly.
Further help the client tuning and optimizing distributed applications for performance/cost

Bring along:

Excellent coverage of Ruby.
Good coverage of Java, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker
Should include database knowledge.
High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
Both new features development and maintenance / troubleshooting
Familiarity with modular frameworks
Experience with Agile and Waterfall development

A plus for:

Telecom industry knowledge (e.g. architectures, protocols, applications, etc.)
