Lead Presales Telecom Architect

R Systems is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Presales Telecom Architect to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design and delivery of telecom solutions during the presales phase, working closely with sales teams and clients to understand their needs and develop customized, cutting-edge solutions. You will serve as a technical authority, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry trends, and business objectives.

Your contribution:

 

  1. Solution Design & Architecture:
    • Design and develop end-to-end telecom solutions (e.g., 5G, SDN, NFV, IoT, OSS/BSS, Cloud).
    • Align solutions with customer business requirements, technical needs, and cost considerations.
  2. Client Engagement:
    • Act as a trusted advisor, leading discussions with clients to understand pain points and objectives.
    • Present tailored solutions, technical strategies, and value propositions to client stakeholders.
  3. Presales Collaboration:
    • Support sales teams with technical expertise in bids, proposals, and RFP responses.
    • Create and deliver solution blueprints, technical presentations, and demonstrations.
    • Develop effort estimates and cost models to support business development efforts.
  4. Technology Leadership:
    • Stay updated on the latest telecom technologies, trends, and standards (e.g., 5G, edge computing, SD-WAN).
    • Advise clients on best practices and emerging technologies to enhance their telecom ecosystems.
  5. Team Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and delivery, to ensure solutions are feasible and scalable.
    • Lead and mentor junior architects or technical consultants involved in presales activities.
  6. Documentation & Handover:
    • Develop detailed technical documentation for proposed solutions.
    • Ensure seamless handover of projects to delivery teams with all necessary information.

Bring along:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.
  2. Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in telecom solution architecture, presales, or technical consulting.
    • Proven track record of designing complex telecom solutions for enterprise or carrier clients.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of telecom technologies, including 5G, SDN/NFV, OSS/BSS, cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and IoT.
    • Strong understanding of telecom protocols, network architecture, and integration frameworks.
    • Familiarity with TOGAF, TM Forum, or similar architecture standards.
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a client-first mindset.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
  5. Certifications (Preferred):
    • AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TM Forum, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent.
