R Systems has obtained the ISO 27001:2013 certification, the internationally recognized standard for information security management.
ISO 27001:2013 helps organizations manage the security of information assets, going beyond IT security and including organizational, financial and third-party information. It improves the management mechanisms for detecting, preventing and minimizing security risks and ensures that risk, governance, and compliance practices meet the most rigid standards.
“The achievement of ISO 27001:2013 certification validates R Systems’ adherence to best practices and processes for information security management across departments and regional offices. We are aware of the vital need to maintain the highest security standard and we are committed to protecting all our customers’ and stakeholders’ data, along with our own data”, stated Petru Iritz, R Systems IT & Security Manager.
The ISO 27001:2013 standard is the most widely recognized among the ISO 27000 standard series for information security. Organizations may achieve certification upon successful completion of a formal audit by an independent and accredited certification body. R Systems was awarded the certification by the Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS – UK Branch, after a rigorous third-party audit of its ISMS and related business processes.
