R Systems Romania has achieved its Q1 2017 plans to hire more than 30 software engineers, exceeding 100 people at its Bucharest site.
The technical hub in Bucharest is the company’s largest in the EMEA region and serves all major R Systems projects, including customers in the USA and S-E Asia. Given the increasing number of new large size projects and opportunities for customer dedicated teams, projected to extend beyond 2017, the company has been on a quest to increase its local team of engineers. More than 30 IT professionals joined R Systems Bucharest site during the first months of 2017 to support ongoing projects in the area of virtualization and networking solutions dedicated to global telecom operators.
We are pleased to announce that during the first months of the year we have completed the recruiting of over 30 software development and QA engineers, consolidating our existing skills in Java, Scala, OpenStack, Cassandra, big data technologies like NoSQL databases, and orchestration.
The new hires have joined our core of senior engineers and are already fully integrated in the project teams providing customized software development and product development services in the area of cloud solutions.
This brings the number of employees across all R Systems offices to over 270 of which more than 100 at the headquarters of R Systems Romania, in Bucharest. To accommodate this growth of staff, the Bucharest office has been recently extended with a new area in the Atlantis business center where the headquarters is located since 2004. Ioana Jenssen, R Systems HR Manager, provided more details about the latest changes.
We now occupy the ground, first and sixth floors of the building and hope to expand even more in the future. Located only 5 minutes from Victoriei square, the site is a convenient place for business but most importantly, it is easily accessible for all our employees. This is the second office expansion for us this year, after the relocation in Galati, where we also plan to hire another 20 IT professionals by the end of 2017.
Ioana also commented on the company’s recruitment plans and approach.
Given the many challenges in IT recruitment nowadays, we are proud to have achieved our ambitious recruitment plans for Q1 of this year. We worked on very tight deadlines but managed to have the full team in place in a very short time, for our projects to run smoothly. I must say our “human professionalism” approach has paid off. We treat each candidate with a high deal or professionalism and respect and we value their time throughout the recruitment process. This means easily available information for all candidates, answers to all their questions, interviews scheduled at their convenient hours, no unnecessary rounds of meetings and always prompt in our response to each and every candidate.
