R Systems is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our team of capable experts focused on high – performance solutions.

Your contribution:

  • Lead the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, enhancements, and software projects 
  • Collaborate with the Leadership, Product Managers and other stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure systems 
  • Ensure timely execution of project deliverables 
  • Work with other lead engineers and architects to ensure the system and product is consistent and aligned through all processes 
  • Review and approve design proposals and documents from the software engineers to ensure compliance with company standards 
  • Follow development standards and promote best practices 
  • Perform code review sessions & suggest improvements or alternatives when appropriate. 

Requirements & Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years of experience in IaaS/PaaS development at scale on public clouds (AWS, Azure) 
  • Proven track of designing and operating applications at scale, in autonomous and self-recoverable frameworks 
  • Experience with one or more open table formats and lake technologies (such as Delta, Hudi or Iceberg) 
  • Strong understanding of Data Architecture/Lakehouse Platforms such as Data Bricks, Microsoft Fabric and/or Snowflake 
  • Strong experience with building scalable and low-latency data pipelines, medallion architectures, integration with analytics tools and reporting 
  • Strong understanding of relational and non-relational data modelling, data quality, data security, and data governance principles and practices 
  • Experience with distributed data processing (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) 
  • Skills in optimizing database performance, schema and index structure, and query tuning 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills 
  • Experience with Data Visualization & Reporting Tools such as PowerBI is desired
