QA Engineer

R Systems is searching for an experienced QA Engineer to join our team of innovators!

Your contribution:

Work within a Scrum team to ensure a successful delivery, based on definition of done of features and user stories
Test Analysis and Design based on feature documents and other supporting documentation
Test creation and execution, based on industry best practises and experience
Automation of test cases based on best practice guidelines
Manual test execution using a mix of scripted and non-scripted (exploratory) testing
Test & Defect Tracking based on Agile best practice
Troubleshoot and analyse issues and suggest solutions/workarounds
Identify and implement improvements that enhance the Test Process and improve overall Quality Assurance practices
Contribute to evolving strategies via inspect and adapt, communities of practice and knowledge sharing sessions

Bring along:

3-5 y experience as a Test Engineer
Experience of Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
Automated software testing design and script writing experience, preferably in an end user testing of enterprise thin client software applications.
Experience using Java Selenium WebDriver
Knowledge of testing tools like SoapUI, Junit, TestNG
Experience with at least one scripting language
Experience with BDD Testing
Insurance Business experience and knowledge a distinct advantage
Minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate in Software Testing or an equivalent qualification
Practical knowledge of Relational databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server) and an ability to write and run basic SQL queries as part of test verification
Strong Test Analysis/troubleshooting skills
