Your contribution:
Scripting
- Can call scripts from external files.
- Understands more complex code beyond simple script commands.
- Familiar with basic constructs like loops, conditions, local and global variables.
- Uses scripting to automate and streamline testing.
Testing Knowledge
- Knows how to use team-relevant code versioning systems for testing.
- Basic understanding of the distribution pipeline system to gather data needed for testing.
- Aware of internal product functionalities and their impact on testing practices.
- Understands team-relevant use cases and can translate them into executable tests.
Products Knowledge
- Familiar with the purpose and functionality of other products in the suite.
- Has detailed understanding of projects/products they’re involved in.
- Knows how and where to find information on other projects/products.
- Can debug or manipulate hardware for specific testing needs.
- Understands what to do if hardware fails or which product settings are incompatible with specific hardware.
Skills
- Proficient verbal and written English.
- Strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Additional Attributes
- Previous QA experience.
- Coding experience.
- Prior experience with computer game development or real-time simulation is highly desirable.
Bring along:
- Overseeing product quality during all development stages.
- Creating, updating, and managing QA-related documentation.
- Ensuring teams follow quality procedures during development.
- Participating actively with detailed knowledge of projects/products.
- Picking and completing tasks independently with minimal guidance.
- Clearly communicating complex topics, even cross-team.
- Mentoring junior QA(s), helping them track KPIs, share knowledge, and solve difficult tasks.
- Occasional travel to support customers or attend company events.
