London, October 28, 2014. R Systems announces the launch of its SS7 TCAP Stack which helps networking and signaling providers to build highly reliable telecoms systems. The SS7 stack enables software vendors to rapidly build robust custom solutions that require signaling capabilities – such as MAP firewalls and gateways, and circuit switch to IMS interworking.
The cost effective solution combines high-performance software with horizontal scalability to increase network capacity across protocol procedures. These include call control applications, SMS and USSD gateway applications and device detection. R Systems SS7 TCAP stack uses SIGTRAN M3UA layer and has already gained wide interest among carriers. Its simplicity, performance, and cost effectiveness, when compared to traditional TDM lines, makes it the preferred solution for applications that interface with SS7 network elements.
“With the operator ecosystem changing fast, it is vital that SS7 stacks are capable of performing in a virtualized software-based network, said Ioana Serban, Marketing Manager at R Systems. “The SS7 TCAP Stack is simple to integrate and is independent of hardware, enabling operators to future-proof signaling capabilities. It is the ideal solution for carriers and software vendors who need a cost-effective way to manage a range of protocol procedures. And it is all backed-up with R Systems’ outstanding customer service and industry-leading expertise.”
The Java-based solution is simple to deploy and can be offered with complete integration. The R Systems SS7 TCAP Stack is independent of hardware, providing operators complete flexibility during deployment and network upgrade.
The SS7 stack is the result of a project co-funded by leading telecom service-layer innovator OpenCloud. The stack is already deployed by a large, well-known mobile operator as part of a complete solution from OpenCloud.
