Forest building in Romania powered by Children’s Forest Association

R Systems team took on the forest building challenge raised by Asociatia “Padurea Copiilor” (Children’s Forest Association), an environmental NGO that aims to set up new forests in Romania by engaging local communities, thousands of volunteers and socially responsible companies acting as long-term partners and sponsors.

Environmental causes have always been a priority on our corporate social responsibility agenda and also close to our hearts individually. We’re always happy to jump on a new green project which needs our support or a helping hand so some of our colleagues set out on a one-day journey to build a new forest in Ghighiu, in Prahova county, Romania.

On Saturday, November 14, powered by “Padurea Copiilor” with shovels, masks and oak, oleander and linden trees to plant, and equipped with our very own enthusiasm and good spirits, the team succeeded to plant over 200 trees.

Congrats to all for their efforts and also for bringing along their children and setting a positive example for us all! The pictures below will speak the best about their work (and fun!) and we’re looking forward to seeing this grow into a beautiful forest for the generations to come. Happy forest building!
