R Systems, a global leader in technology and digital transformation services, achieved a turnover of €26.8 million for its business in Europe, up 22% compared to 2021, when it recorded €21.9 million. Last year marked the company’s fifth consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth.
In terms of financial growth, the biggest contribution was made by customers in the telecom industry – the focus industry of R Systems Europe, who were more willing to expand their budgets to keep up with market demands. Additionally, the largest number of new customers came from digitalization and smart automation projects.
R Systems Europe has offices in five countries (Romania, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, Great Britain and Switzerland), and the turnover registered in Romania last year was €22.79 million. Compared to 2021, when the total sales amounted to €17.4 million, the increase was 33%. Compared to 2017, the increase in turnover in Romania was 70%.
As for the team, R Systems is about to reach 500 employees in Europe, after registering an increase of almost 10% last year. In our country, the team expanded by 7.5% at the beginning of 2023, compared to January 2022 with the number of employees in Romania representing 60% of the total European team of the company.
“Although the year 2022 was marked by uncertainties for several economic sectors, at R Systems Europe we maintained our growth rate, benefiting from the high interest in digitalization solutions, both from our traditional customers in the telecom industry and companies in other fields. More and more organizations understand that without implementing digital technologies, they can no longer grow their businesses, and our expertise allows us to respond efficiently to all the challenges that digital transformation brings. We estimate that demand for IT services – cloud transformation, automation, product engineering, big data & analytics – across all industries will continue its upward trajectory, regardless of economic fluctuations; therefore we continue investing in expanding and professionally developing our team, so as to capitalize on new business opportunities,” said Raluca Rusu, CEO of R Systems Europe.
In order to support its growth rate, in 2023 and beyond, R Systems Europe continues its search for IT specialists, with recruitment plans to attract 70-80 new colleagues to the Romanian team, mainly experts in engineering and software architecture in areas such as cloud, automation, DevOps, telecoms, RPA, AI/ML.
The company hires at all professional levels; from those willing to gain experience in IT whilst benefiting from training, to top specialists – offering the possibility of working 100% remotely.
