R Systems supports the Romanian Paraclimbing Team in reaching Mount Elbrus

R Systems is honored to support the Romanian National Paraclimbing Team in their greatest adventure and challenge yet: climbing Mount Elbrus, 5,642 m, in Russia.

Alex Benchea, the first visually impaired Romanian climber that reached the top of Kilimanjaro in 2019 and Răzvan Nedu, the captain of the national paraclimbing team, are both members of Climb Again club – the organization that strives to provide a chance to a normal life for special needs teens and children, through climbing therapy. Last summer, the two climbers reached the top of Mont Blanc.

“Climb Again mission is to help every special needs child in gaining access to climbing activities, to help them develop their life skills, to raise their confidence in their own potential and be socially integrated. By now we achieved these goals with over 1800 children. […] Through our positive speech we want to influence the general perception regarding the potential of physically impaired children and support their social integration through climbing” – Climb Again Association.

This July, at the Paraclimbing World Cup, Răzvan Nedu won the silver medal at the visually impaired B1 category, followed by his teammate Angelo Simionescu, with bronze.

Next week, at the beginning of August, the two adventurers, Alex Benchea and Răzvan Nedu, will climb the highest peak in Europe. We hope R Systems sponsorship will help the Romanian Paraclimbing Team achieve their most courageous challenge yet. We will follow them closely and we will keep you up to date with every step of their adventure on Facebook and Instagram.

Adding this initiative to our CSR track record, we stay committed to support social causes; you can contribute as well! Adopt 1 meter of their Climb Again Elbrus journey, by sending a simple SMS. 1 SMS = 1 meter. Send VEZI at 8844 (2 Euro) and support the Climb Again adventure!
